EDS Remap – 1.6T SIDI (A16XHT)

vauxhall_1

Regal Autosport is proud to present the latest EDS ECU Calibration for the next generation SIDI (direct injection) GM engines.

The A16XHT is the latest engine to enter the lineup of Vauxhall/OPEL vehicles, this engine features in the Astra J, Insignia, Zafira C and the Cascada model ranges. Featuring direct injection, high compression, lower emissions, higher fuel efficiency and fantastic low-down torque this engine is designed from the ground up to provide class leading performance. However, EDS have unlocked further performance in terms of driveability, fuel efficiency as well as the all important power and torque.

Stock Performance Figures
  • Stock Power: 171HP
  • Stock Torque: 221TQ
EDS ECU Calibrated Performance Figures:
  • EDS Power: 209HP
  • EDS Torque: 245TQ
  • EDS Peak Power Gains – +38HP
  • EDS Peak Torque Gains – +44TQ
Take a look at the graph below for the power graph from EDS, overlaying their stock Zafira C development vehicle over the same car with the EDS ECU Calibration…

As you can see, the gains are right across the rev range and a huge level of torque is available between 1700RPM and 5000RPM. This means driveability is dramatically increased over stock. The ECU overboost function is also recalibrated, with the stock ECU calibration for the turbocharger overboost to function you would need to completely come off of the throttle and then step on the throttle 100%. With the EDS ECU calibration the ECU allows the turbo to overboost, as it naturally would within a specific range, in-turn improving driveablity. Fuel efficiency is also refined under ”normal” driving conditions, such as motorway cruising or around town driving – you should expect to receive higher MPG figures during like for like driving. Throttle response is also increased to give a ”sportier” pedal feel and further increase driving enjoyment.

With this ECU Calibration the whole car is transformed into a more driveable, enjoyable, fuel efficient and powerful vehicle. This specific ECU calibration is developed for vehicles with entirely stock hardware and using 95 octane fuel. So there’s no upgraded hardware required. This ECU calibration will also work perfectly on 95 octane fuel, however as we have experienced with our own vehicles, if you use a higher quality fuel such as Shell V-Power Nitro you can expect even larger gains, a cleaner engine and more miles from your tank.

Interested? Here’s how you can grab your upgrade…

Option 1)

EDS ECU Calibration @ Regal HQ – £445

With this option you can travel to the Regal HQ and have your vehicles ECU calibrated with the EDS ECU calibration while you wait, by one of our experienced technicians, what’s more is that we’re offering free of charge before and after rolling road runs usually worth £130 to the first three customers to show customers gains in power and torque.

Alternatively you can opt to have your ECU calibrated with the same calibration at one of the approved UK EDS dealers (enquire or visit www.regalautosport.com for more information).
